There is plenty of evidence to indicate that the fossil record does not support evolution.

Your welcome Dr. Butler. I'll take your word that Gish was an evidentialist.

Actually, you will be pleased to note that AiG is going to greater lengths to emphasize methodology. I went to a large conference of theirs this summer and they spent a good deal of time explaining that the authority of God's word is the ultimate resting place in our case for creationism. They also had "Always Ready" available for purchase. It sold out that night after one of the speaker's personally recommended it.

As for ICR, I know that Henry Morris was very close to John Whitcomb (co-author of The Genesis Flood), who is about as staunch a presupper as they come. Still, ICR is more of a research program so they'll bring in scientists who know their science really well but not so much their epistemology.

Keith - Thanks for the information. I know that Ken Ham is a presup., but I was unaware of ICR. I am fairly confident, though, that Dr. Gish was not presup., at least in the late 90's when we spoke at the same conference.

Actually, ICR (the organization that Gish worked for) is wholly presuppositional. Most creationist groups are staunchly presuppositional, actually. (Answers in Genesis comes to mind.) They recognize that the evidences must be interpreted according to God's word. When interpreted through the biblical framework, the fossils do speak. They speak especially strongly concerning the judgment of man via the Flood.
