		<description>Your conclusions are probably correct.  Take the young man who has been transferred from Oakland to Chicago.  He goes to the sports bar for companionship.  He may root for the A&#039;s for a while, but soon will likely shift his loyalty to the Cubs.  He wants to be a part of something, to belong to the gang, and so will unconsciously start cheering for the new home team.  Baseball is secondary, his need for a tribe is primal.</description>
