I was reading up on the Schmalkalden League at the seminary today and discovered a couple other references to Jena.

Elector John Frederick received the English ambassador to the League, Robert Barnes, on Sept 21, 1535 in Jena.

A little later he directed Luther to meet with Barnes in Jena (where Melancthon was then residing!) though the meeting ended up at a different place.
